Present: 11 people

Chris Atwood, Pauline d'Entremont, Joyce Cunningham, Bernice d'Entremont, Alain Comeau, Steven Doucette, Michelle d'Entremont, Beatrice Adams, Annette LeBlanc, Cecil d'Entremont, Coral d'Entremont.

Pauline d'Entremont called the meeting to order at 9:30 am and welcomed all present

Agenda:

Bernice d'Entremont moved and Michelle d'Entremont seconded that the agenda be adopted as presented. Motion carried. 

Minutes:

Bernice d'Entremont moved and Michelle d'Entremont seconded that the minutes of March 11, 2003 annual general meeting be adopted as read. Motion carried. 

Treasurer's Report:

Bernice d'Entremont and Joyce Cunningham seconded that the 2003 financial report be adopted as presented. Motion carried. 

Old business: 

Web Site Update - As of the meeting no update had taken place. Pauline d'Entremont and Steven Doucette are to check into the site and make changes as necessary.

Summer Student Program - Application for summer student has gone in. Revenue Generating: A need for volunteers was expressed. The committee will look into some funding from a GST rebate, checking with the Coastal Financial Credit Union as to a reduction in fees, another bottle drive tentatively planned for May 1st.

Volunteer Training - Ask again for help in making web site, brochures, newsletters, etc

New business:

Report from Francophone C@P Co-ordinator Alain Comeau       

Alain Comeau is involved in IT week committee program to do french translation at the Provincial co-ordinators meeting they are presenting a project for a french C@P at the Tuna Museum in Wedgeport and a presentation to the seniors of that area. Alain Comeau gave out the new pamphlets on the French C@P sites and the brochures of the site listings. Raymond Provencer has accepted applications for a $40,000 grand to help the Acadian Francophone C@P sites of Southwest, Central and Northern Nova Scotia. As of the information he has at the present time. Alain Comeau's present term ends March 31st, 2004.

Report from Chris Atwood, SouthWest Regional C@P Co-ordinator: 

Work is in progress for IT week 2004 ( May 2 - 10 ) and is accepting applications for the IT Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and C@P Site of the Year

Awards.  This award ceremony will be at the Pubnico Branch Library on May 5 at 4pm

C@P Conference 2004 will be held at the Old Orchard Inn April 16 & 17. The conference title is "Changing Realities of C@P". Pauline d'Entremont has been suggested as our representative.

The sustainability funding is in place for 2004-2005.

The budget for the 2004 Regional Working Group will be on April 7

Much discussion of the Canadian Crossroads International Exchange for St Vincent and the grenadines Islands for C@P partners.  There is one exchange person at the present time working at the Youth Services Center at the Pier 1 complex office.

Beatrice Adams moved and Coral d'Entremont seconded that the following be the Pubnico Community Access Program Association officers:

            President: Pauline A. d'Entremont

            Vice President: Joyce Cunningham

            Secretary - Treasurer: Bernice d'Entremont

            Publicity and Official Agent  - Joyce Cunningham

                            Directors:  Trudy Amirault

                            Beatrice Adams

                            Coral d'Entremont

                            Cecil d'Entremont *

 * New Directors:  Steven Doucette moved and Alain Comeau seconded that the new directors be accepted as read.

Signing Officers, Recognizes agent and Auditor:

Beatrice Adams moved and Coral d'Entremont seconded that the signing officers of the Association be any two of the four elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and Official Agent.

Joyce Cunningham moved and Michelle d'Entremont seconded that the  Auditor would be Claire d'Eon. Motion carried.

The president, Pauline d'Entremont thanked everyone for their work, their co-operation and their confidence in her work for the C@P. 

Next committee meeting to be April 27 Tuesday  9:30 am at the Musee Acadien.
